2021 County Report for Meath

Botanical activities in 2021 included, but were not limited to, the following:

  1. Field recording, which included: further exploration of eskers of SW Meath; continued recording of the partial hectad N54; further exploration of the shale soils near Moynalty in NW Meath; general recording within the county.
  2. Targeted fieldwork to collect critical taxa for determination, which included: aquatic Ranunculus; coastal Elymus; Epilobium; Limonium binervosum agg.; Rosa.
  3. Mounting of herbarium specimens to be deposited in DBN in support of Norton (2021) A review of Rubus, subgenus Rubus in Co. Meath (H22) Irish Botanical News 31: 60-73.
