Country Funds

The BSBI supports a large network of work and botanists across England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. These networks benefit from the work of Vice County Recorders, our Country Officers and Counties Manager, Country Committees, and our wider staff team.

A lot of the scientific work we carry out is centralised and covers all locations, but there are also distinct projects we conduct which happen in specific habitats, areas and sites. Our local teams also work on specific issues, such as arranging field meetings and conferences, encouraging beginners and conducting training events, and growing the profile of local botany.

Unrestricted donations offer BSBI the best opportunity to respond to current needs, however if you would like to support the work of the BSBI in a particular area of Britain and Ireland, you can do so from this page. You can also directly support different areas of our work.
