We have a full programme of events this year, ranging from indoor conferences, exhibition meetings and AGMs to national field meetings across Britain and Ireland. Most are free to attend and you don't need to be a BSBI member, although if there are more applicants than spaces available, we reserve the right to prioritise our members.
Find out more
Find out more about this year's main events on our dedicated webpages for the BSBI's week-long, residential Annual Summer Meeting and indoor one-day meetings such as the BSBI Recorders' Conference, the Scottish Botanists' Conference, Irish and Scottish Conferences, the Welsh AGM and BSBI Annual Exhibition Meeting; and don't forget annual activities such as our New Year Plant Hunt.
Field meetings
We have an annual programme of national field meetings: they are a great way to see interesting plants in interesting places, and to pick up ID tips from fellow botanists. Some are General meetings suitable for everyone, beginner or expert; some are focused on Training, or on Recording for Atlas 2020, and some are aimed at helping the more experienced botanist learn more about a particular group of plants (these are marked 'Specialist').
You can also find out about local field meetings in your area by checking your county webpage: use the links on the Local Botany page or try our interactive map.
