Taraxacum latissimum “Broad-leaved Dandelion”
Section: Ruderalia
Probably native. Generally distributed but rather local in England and Wales, rare in Scotland and Ireland. Waste places, gardens, urban sites, verges etc.
T. latissimum is a robust heterophyllous dandelion with winged petioles, white on outers, pink on inners. The long, rather narrow leaf side-lobes tend to be sinuous and variably directed. It has large capitula, to 60 mm diameter, and untidy, ‘scrumpled’ exterior bracts.
