Join Jen Farrar (BSBI Botanical Skills Officer, Northern Ireland) for a
New Year Plant Hunt (NYPH) at the Ulster Wildlife Bog Meadows Nature Reserve.
The meeting place is the car park on Milltown Road, opposite Falls Park on the Falls Road. This car park is free.
We will take a clockwise route around the reserve towards the St James Community Farm, where we can decide to either have our break or carry on to the Park Centre for a cup of tea at a cafe there. The second part of the hunt will continue clockwise to the pond and ditches at the south end of the reserve.
We will be looking for any wild or naturalised plant that is flowering over the New Year period, you might be surprised how many there are, and recording the details as part of the NYPH Citizen Science project.
