Atlas 2020

South West Yorkshire is being actively recorded to support this national project to map the distribution of all plant species in the British Isles and measure changes since the last Atlas in 2000.

Records can be submitted by email on the downloadable recording form.

The hectad map is available to target genuine holes for 2018 fieldwork.

The tetrad map on the right shows progress so far.

Rare Plants Register

As we need to produce a Rare Plant Register for the VC we are still focusing our recording efforts on species that are either nationally rare or scarce, i.e. recorded in fewer than 100 10x 10km squares) or classified as threatened in the new Red Data List of The British Flora published in 2005.

Currently this includes the 126 native and archaeophyte taxa listed below.
