Federation of European Botanical Societies

The Federation of European Botanical Societies is a collection of European botanical societies with a shared vision to promote the plants and habitats and people across Europe.

The group is currently hosted by the French Botanical Society, with the aim of the Chair and Secretary roles to rotate around the societies to share the experiences and time in bringing the societies together.

Initiatives suggested to date include Plant of the Year for the European countries, annual recording events and updating Flora Europaea.

The BSBI is represented by Mick Crawley, Ian Denholm, Steve Gater and Jodey Peyton.
