Taraxacum sagittipotens “Smooth Dandelion”
Section: Ruderalia
Native. Fairly widespread in Britain north to southern Scotland, but absent from southern counties. Grassland, verges, banks etc.
T. sagittipotens has narrow pink petioles and leaves of a clear fresh green. The sagittate end-lobes to the leaves are distinctive, although they are longer on inner leaves (heterophyllous). All leaf lobes mostly lack teeth. The flowering heads are rather small and rounded and the exterior bracts are narrow, recurved-reflexed and are often suffused pinkish.
