Taraxacum laciniosifrons “Hairy-stemmed Dandelion”
Section: Ruderalia
Probably introduced. A rather scarce plant, scattered throughout the British isles, but with the majority of records from the south. Waste places, paths and pavements, verges and gardens.
T. laciniosifrons has red petioles with wide green wings. The narrowly oblong heterophyllous leaves are hairy and have about six rather short, acuminate and dentate omnidirectional side-lobes. The rather long and narrow exterior bracts are arched-recurved and the capitula rather small with pinkish-grey ligule stripes. Compare T. macranthoides and T. aequisectum.
