Taraxacum aberrans “Apiculate-lobed Dandelion”

Probably introduced. Scattered through Britain north to the Tay, but almost absent from the south-east. Waste places, gardens, urban sites, walls and verges.
T. aberrans is a large, erect species with mid green leaves and narrowly winged petioles, white on outer and pink on inner leaves. It is notably heterophyllous and the end-lobes of inner leaves are large and helmet-shaped with an apiculate apex. Exterior bracts are claw-shaped and ligule stripes grey-pink.
