Taraxacum croceiflorum “Orange-flowered Dandelion”
Section: Ruderalia
Native. Widespread and frequent throughout lowland Britain north to the southern Highlands. Grasslands, banks etc.
T. croceiflorum has winged green petioles, rather narrow, multilobate leaves with a small triangular end-lobe and is best diagnosed by the red ligule ends in rather orange-yellow flowers. The bracts are rather narrow and recurved. It is easily confused with T. lacerifolium which lacks red ligule ends.
