Irish Autumn Meeting 2023 Information Sheet

Registration

Registration is essential. There is no set fee, but we would be delighted if you would make a small donation to help cover the cost of providing mid-morning and afternoon teas and coffees and our organisation and admin costs.

Starting Time

The start time in the Glasnevin Lecture Theatre is 10.20, but why don't you arrive at 10am and grab a coffee with friends in the adjacent Botanic Gardens cafe?  But don't arrive much earlier than that, as the Gardens and cafe don't open until 10am.

AGM

The BSBI Irish AGM will be held from 15.45 to 16.30 in the main lecture theatre. Everyone is very welcome to attend; however, only Irish BSBI Members may vote. There is a link to the meeting Agenda, along with the Secretary's and Irish Officer's Report, on the main event page.

Note the building will close at 17.00 sharp.

Choices

During the afternoon session, there will be a choice of two identification talks/workshops: Horsetails (led by Robert Northridge), to be held in the Auditorium; and Introduction to Bryophytes, led by Dr Joanne Denyer, in the Gallery upstairs.

Of course, alternatively you can use  this time to explore the Gardens and catch up with friends.

There will be a tea/coffee break before the commencement of the BSBI Irish AGM at 15.45pm.

Recording

It is planned to record talks so they can be made available later via the BSBI YouTube Channel. You can view recordings of last years' talks here
